LET' S GET TOGETHER

from the "Random Artists" show 2007 in Prague

Hey people,
ball is rolling for the MA show....i think it would be good to organise a meeting with all of us again including all of our tutors to discuss all show ideas to let it go further even stronger. The meeting is essential as well to talk about resources which will be and won't be available over the summer and which we need for our work.Till what time is Gosta Green open. When are the deadlines for this and that. And to make sure that everybody knows what is going on to avoid any clashes of two MA shows etc.

I thought that the tutors would not be involved in the off-site show (apart from chiu). it's a bit confusing but I thought that we agreed on this.

From what I have heard, tutors will not be interested in taking part in the off-site show, but are somewhat required by faculty to be apart of the assessment show because they have to assess it anyways. You are more likely to get help setting up for the assessment show but that is perfect because the off-site show will be a much more glamorous reproduction of the assessment show. Use your resources at assessment show to put together the off-site show. But of course, if you know your individual tutor wants to be involved, i think it could be helpful. We already have to answer to UCE to you want to have to answer to that many other big minds?

I think the tutors should at least be kept informed of what we're doing, by keeping up to date with what's going on on the blogs.

If nothing else they can get familiar with the blogs, which gives them such a flexible way to keep in touch with their students work.(It's especially useful for part timers that miss a lot of what's going on.)

Maybe the students can teach the tutors something this year :)
